Have an interesting problem. Admins, feel free to move this to splitboards or binding. I wasn't sure where it should go.
Basically, my bindings move slightly foward/backward when mounted on the pucks. Not much (just few mms) but noticeable when riding. I've tried adjusting the pucks so that they're flush, but I think maybe they're getting knocked around by the binding. I don't understand how this could be happening, as they're tightened as much as they can be. For reference, I'm riding the Khyber with Spark Ignition IIs. Anyone else have a similar problem? How have you dealt with it?

Hey Nick, Are you positive they are flush?
When I mount pucks I set them so that I can barely get the pin through. This give me no play what so ever.
I have no experience with Sparks binders but have a feeling Will keeps his tolerances super tight.

No worries but if it's a binding question shouldn't it be in the binding forum? :)

Sounds like the distance between the two pucks is too short. There should be no play if set up correctly. Are you using the puck alignment tool? If the pucks are moving during use then the the screws aren't tight enough.

The first 10-20 time I went out I experienced the same issue. The problem is that your pucks aren't tight enough and until you get a bunch on time (and incremental tightening) in on your gear they won't be. They loosen up and move during skinning and/or when you go to slide the bindings on. I started just carrying my alignment tool in my skin bag. When I get to the top I put it in place to make sure the pucks are where they're supposed to be and then tighten the bolts before putting the bindings in ride mode. I've got enough time and tightening in on them now that things seem to have stopped moving. I am still carrying to alignment too with me though.

Thanks guys. I made sure the pucks were flush with the binding before my last outing. I no longer have the tool, so i improvised using the binding. Anyone have a good method for getting the pucks flush?

Like Monk says, you need the tool. Use blue Locktite on the screw threads and the corret size phillips screwdriver. It will be the biggets phillips you have, not that cheesy stanley you used to tighten your light switch covers.
Now, once you have the tool, the locktite and the CORRECT size phillips, put some ass into it. Put the board down on your Mom's/Wife/girlfiends thick carpetted floor and LEAN over that bad boy when you tighten it.

Now, load that bong, spark that lighter and sit back and admire your work

for the sake of being a nerd i'll add that you should be using a posi drive (aka biggest phillips head). i'll never forget the name. years ago i was working in a rental department and my boss threw a phillips head at me and screamed "i said get me a posi drive not a phillps head".

crusty ol' prick...

a simpel methode is.

tip tail hooks close - one bindings mounted on the slider.
and check the booard is in the = 0 position
put on the other slider pucks -left and right side a straight block min 200 mm long 15 mm high , hould - fix this position . check the distance between the end s of the sliderpucks . it must be 195mm
THE SLIDERPUCKS MUST BE RUN IN A LINE .
