Here's a few pics of Grizzly and surrounding cirque up in Grizzly Gulch.

This is the most prominent couloir. It looks good, however, it has a cornice at the top.

Further south on the ridge between Grizzly Peak and Torrey's Peak, this cirque has the highest concentration of lines in Grizzly Gulch.

So, you reckon that cornice makes it too sketch? Did you drop into anything good that outing? Looks like snow & more to come in SW - I might make it to Vail or Aspen 1 day, but will probably stay in TRide - if you decide to take a road trip pm me. I may try to get in touch w/ bgb for some splitting near Silverton. Aloha.

In a properly compacted spring snowpack, I wouldn't be worried about that cornice just breaking loose for no reason. What's more important is that the cornice blocks a climber from topping out the climb. Therefore, you've got to be really good at stomping out a platform and changing over to your snowboard right there in the couloir, as opposed to up on the ridge.
