My new Ride split by Monk 151

Some of you may be familiar with the "best spring gash contest"?
Well I was the very lucky winner.
My prize: free labor on a Monk 151 custom splitty. :bananas:

It's absolutely beautiful, I can't stop taking pictures of it! :drool:

This is my new favorite board. It is so much fun to ride and it's light.

Thanks Monk, I love the board, it's so nice. I would even say that it is nicer than my factory split. I think I've only ridden the Prior once since you split my Ride for me. :headbang:

^^^ It's true. She brings both boards to the trailhead and always leaves the Prior in the car. Then she takes pictures of her Monk board at every opportunity/scenic moment. I think she could be in love with her new board. Oh yeah... here's a pic of Buffy testing the work:

you never build a board complet self ???? the secret is in the board - the core .... for DIY split and to much insert s is the problem ...

To much insert - in a board is a big point ....
A factory board has inserts in 2 lines .....4x 4
burton 3 lines ...

a DIY splitboard has much more inserts lines .
the insert 17-19mm Q a board in the waist 240 - 260
mm . in the worst case you have 9 and more insertlines a cross the
bord core ....... this is a hot break point .....
a orginal factory split is optim. of the core . position the hardcore wood stripes .... dont - thik a DIY splitboard had the same core .......

i Think this is my mine ..... a DIY board with so much inserts is a Swiss Cheas

ein orginales brett hat meist 2 oder 3 inserts reihen die durch den kern verlaufen ....

bei einen DIY splitboard kann es zu 9 und mehr insertreihen geben die , wenn man so wie auf dem gezeigten board alle insert s bohrt .... ein insert hat einen Q von 17-19 mm
das schwächt ein board extrem .
ein board mit so vielen inserts ist ein schweizer käse...
die kerne von einen orginalen split sind auf die inserts ausgerichtet .

ich denk mal die antwort müßte ausreichend sein....

we must go deper ... first lesson free for you , board construktion :mrgreen:

look at the uper belt - it is a glass , carbon , arramid mix ore some thing ....with epoxid resin a s Martix.
a orginal swowboard has belts in 0° -+ 30 ( 45 ° )
most 590 - 750g/m2
an split board had not the same belts , more stringer s in 0 ° it is importand ....
DIY :
a drill from the uper side for a insert diameter 17-19 mm is more bigger than a small hole and a skispax from the top in the core .... ( voile splitkit sliderpucks - skispax )
the best for DIY split is no Drill in the Base ( uperbelt )

youse the orginal 4x4 Stitch for the Pucks - angelpucks with apappter plats :thumpsup:

My finshline is not hate - my line is build best board s to climb the mountain s .... :wink:

i had no problem s with 2 pice board s and any one in this forum. i m not agressiv to every body in the forum .

every body can drill XXX insert s in his board - this mistake i made it years a go on my first board s .....
this are not bad words to monk , DIY spliters must lorn this lesson selv .....

we talk after some time - when the board s loast her camber .
