Since there's been a little preliminary talk here about interest in the Wilson Group of 14ers, I've started this thread.
Spring is not too far away and its time to be thinking BIG. I had my eye on Wilson Peak. Hikeforturns mentioned a route on Mt. Wilson. I'm suggesting at least 3 days of spring camping down there to take advantage at such a massive cluster of big lines.
Since I've got a hut trip planned in the first week of May, and now I'm contemplating flying to Washington to attempt Rainier in late May, mid/late April would be the best time for me to take a few days to head down to the Telluride area again. Of course, I'd like to know more about the trailhead conditions, snow levels, etc. to see if it is worth waiting until later in the spring.
Throwing this out there to the public. Consider it open for discussion...

I have thrown the idea out to a few friends around here about Chicago basin the first of May, three fourteeners just like the Wilson group. Train access begins that weekend. Dont know much about Wilson and El Diente. T-Ride has been doing alright for snow this year. Those peaks usually hold snow threw late summer without a problem. Let me know how it works out and what peaks you are looking to ski.. C
