Here is yet another installment of photos from the East Side. On Monday we went up Basin Mountain for a fine day of powder/corn. Tuesday brought 10-12 feet of wind, so we took an easy day on the Mammoth Crest for more pow.
Halfway up Basin Mountain:

Nice shots BCD. Looks like you put together 3 great days in a row. I really like the one of the burn area on Basin - very Eastern Sierra-ish. How did the NE couloir on Humphrey's look to you? I'm cautiously thinking about a long Sunday this weekend down in the Buttermilks. Humphery's would be incredible, but the "lower hanging fruit" chutes closer to the road look amazing too.

It looks pretty good. The photo of the Humphreys basin was taken around 1:15pm, and the NE Couloir on Humphreys was already going into the shade. But that might not be an issue since it could still be powder in there. Eric returned the following day to ski Kindergarten/Checkered Demon and said the snow was amazing, even after the sun was past.
Right now the road isn't completely melted out to the trailhead, but it's pretty close. Maybe an extra 30 minutes or so of skinning across the flats, and you'll be able to ski right back to the car at the end of the day.
Go for it!
