Yep, read about that... Definitely a good review/testimonial for the ABS pack. In the article I read on it the debris piles were over 30ft deep in places... Think it was the last Transworld Snowboarding mag, but not 100% sure...
All things considered, he should have been dead... Luckily there were no big cliffs and the slide and pack kept him in the natural gully on top of everything. Multiple broken ribs and some other injuries though, so not "unscathed" or the likes... Hell of a wake up call...
Wow, that went huge. Cool video to see the fracture propagating with him as he rides.
Also interesting to note the skin track and descent tracks to skiiers left that can be seen for brief periods from the helicopter. Looks like a pretty exposed skin track, but hard to say for sure.
