I want! I want! I want! That would be awesome, though it's tough to tell in the pic if it is in fact rockered. Has anyone used a rocker split? I'm wondering hoe they do uphill, or if it's tougher to get the skins to bite on a firm track.

That Venture in the Spark R&D stand with the white Ignitions is most definitely rockered. Will mentioned the Venture folks had been toying with the idea.
As far as how they skin, I don't know. Will said he has been riding his banana-magna split that Monk made for him a bit and when I asked similar questions he didn't have any complaints. He didn't seem to have any issues skinning on it here in UT, but that was a pow day. But it was on a fairly well compacted skin track.
Dunno? Curious though....being in UT I'm always looking for new pow tools and that thing looks flippin sweet.

Nothing slips past you guys!
Yes indeedy that is a rockered Venture splitty!
Venture will making all of their 4 shapes available in splitboards next year (in 4 different width options 24-27cm). Two of the four shapes will be rockered, one shape will be cambered, and another shape will come with an option of cambered or non-cambered (rockered).

Where the hell would we be if there weren't folks out there like Clem, Lisa and Will. I spoke briefly about rockered/0 camber designs with Clem back in November, I had no idea he already had prototypes in the works.

Camber, rocker, thruster, rocket fish ....is this a surfboard forum?
But really, has anyone tried a rocker split? My thoughts go back to stiffness. I hate a stiff board . How is the flex on a venture? Too soft= split decision Too stiff= mountain gun. My Burton S is the only board besides the Mojo that feels right to me
So to all you venture owners .....how stiff/soft are they?
*- I have never ridden the split decision. All comments on it being too soft are just what I have heard in the skin track
I would hate to throw down lots of cash on a rockered board only to find its too stiff and I have to keep on top of it all the time

Mine's not too stiff. I've ridden the Divide 181 (uber stiff) and the 170 (medium flex) and either one would be an A+ in my book. If you're worried about the flex, go and demo one of thier solid boards. The Venture splitters and the solid boards are indistinguishable on the snow. Aside from the weight and obvious binder situation the Divide rides exactly like the Storm. Keep in mind that Venture builds thier boards in three widths with coorisponding flex patterns. i.e. the wides are stiff while the narrow models are much softer. As for the Rockered boards you'll have to wait for my .02 until next season
I'm interested to see how they ride and how long it lasts too. When regular board loses it's camber it tends to ride pretty crappy. How will they fair skin track after skin track? Very cool though to see something different to try out though.

Just after seeing that board im ready to start writing up the 'for sale' flyer for my Mojo....My splittie is the only board i have left that isnt rockered.

So what kind of rocker shape are we talking here - is the rocker between the bindings or does it kick up towards the tip and tail? I've been riding the new NS Legacy with rocker between the bindings and camber towards the tip and tail and that board is killer. As much as I love my Divide right now, some rocker would be just dreamy.
