(This trip report was written by Dan) Very mixed bag of snow today outside of Crystal today, but me and Kyle had a nice sucker hole of visibility and were able to get a few decent turns in windloaded areas.
comin up Quicksilver
Silver Basin was lookin great, but death cookies were lurking underneath the thin layer of new pow
Kyle making his way towards the saddle.
Dropping off the backside of Silver Basin, the views were better than the snow (but a few inches of new is better than nuthin:smile:)
We decided to boot the next section
The day was mostly about good scenery and good excercise:
A different perspective of the King and Three Way
I caused a little slide in the chute, nothing too scary but it definitely caught my attention.
Me and kyle makin our way back towards Xtal
We finished the day with Gunbarrel as the clouds swept in. Conditions ranged from boilerplate crust w/ avy debri up high to some pretty good wind affected pow lower down.
All in all a good day. Got a little bit of filming done, nothing spectacular as I forgot to charge the battery and only squeezed out about 2 minutes of recording time:rolleyes2. Coverage is decent, all we need is a good 18-24 inches to cover the chunder and all will be well in this little corner of cascadia.[/
