Looking for someone to ride with on Tues. I'd like to sty up high and get some good pow, so I'm thinking the best options are Carson or Rose. I don't know the Carson area, so it would be cool if someone could show me some good lines. And there are some spots in the Rose area I haven't hit yet but should be good to go. PM if you're down.

I'm pretty new to the forum, pretty new to backcountry riding and definitely new to CA, but if anyone going to the Tahoe area this Sat/Sun/Mon (or future weekends) has room for another in their group, let me know! I figure the best way to learn the way around new terrain is to go with those who know already.

I should probably throw in some details about myself since I'm new around here:
- been snowboarding for 10 years or so; comfortable on pretty much any terrain
- been on a handful of backcountry trips (mostly in WA)
- no avy training yet besides lots of reading (hoping to change that soon)
- spend my summers racing road bikes so I should be in good enough shape to keep up
- just started grad school so you can also PM me if you want to talk about organic semiconductors, surface science, photovoltaics and the likes :wink:

I'm usually off on Friday, and free every other day of the week for local riding. Shoot me a PM next time you want to get out. Looks like next Fri. might be a pow day - the last 7 were, and my legs are felling it
