 Post subject: Inside Edge Inlay

Would getting a board with the inside edge inlay (Metal edge) or a reg factory splitboard be worth it does it make a diffrence with skining and traversing?
Also would the edge be a problem as far as getting bent and requiring proffesional work cause it seem like if you got a core scratch running accross the center of your board would mess up both inside edges?
