Before you head out this weekend. Take a second to think about where you are going and the potential there is for a slide at that location. Because if it can slide, it will this weekend. Check out this video from Bruce Tremper...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdoqS3unrjk

That's nuts! I'm beyond stoked to get some real turns on a split, but stuff like this has me pretty spooked. Hopefully with all the pow forecast for the next week, the rain crust will get consolidated and things will start to shape up. Otherwise I hope everyone stays safe out their.

i just spent the last two days testing all over the PC/ Canyons area...and let me tell you...some of that rain crust is bonding...and some was just going...and going huge. In the PC/Millcreek/parleys area...if a slab rips out ...the stored energy right now is HUGE and even on less than 30 Deg. We need at least another 30 + in or serious densinty to get that Thanksgiving crust to bridge. i saw first hand how that 'bird avi happened. its deeep so "he went so i can go...".is just a bad move...we were getting huge slabs after numerous tests...so its stlll roulette on some slopes...#1-10 skiier on the slope? may not trigger (like the chick at bird) themn whooompf...monster unsurvivable rips out. scare...ey!
