 Post subject: Mammoth Area slides this weekend?? Any information?

On Saturday AM, we went out on some low angle stuff across from the airport (just south of Convict Lake Rd.) and saw a couple small natural slides in the chutes on the north side of the road. Driving home on Sunday, saw plenty of natural slides just North of Wheeler Crest (after passing the Sherwin Summit sign).

This morning, I found out about an incident in Elderberry Canyon.

In trying to research this slide I came across the Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center website, www.esavalanche.org It looks they are just getting going but there are some good folks involved in the process. Hopefully this will be a solid resource in the future.
