For man'f cost reasons, I would expect the case is cast, and then milled to final spec. Either way, Milling is a time-consuming option (= expensive). It will be interesting to see if this construction method lasts, or if they switch back to a more traditional method for future generations. Definitely geek-sexy though.

I met a guy on a recent mountain bike ride who was on the mechanical design team for the new MacBook. Pretty sweet machine. We have one at the office. It feels a lot more solid in general than the older ones. Really clean internal design. I LOVE how easy it is to swap out the hard drive! That was a major pain in the ass in earlier models.
