Great site, reading through this forum has already answered a lot of my initial questions about splits.
I'll be buying my first split in the next couple of months. I have big feet so I usually ride wide boards 26cm+ in the waist but I don't see many splits this wide, other than a couple of the longer Prior's. Anyone know of wide-specific split boards?
If I use the standard Bent Metal baseplates, would the increased height virtually eliminate the boot overhang? Is there any real differene in feel between regular baseplates and the Spark RD Ignition baseplates?
This DIY is rad (partly cuz its a Lib ) but I doubt I could turn out such good work:

I've never heard of this being an issue, and there are some big doods around these parts. Common sense tells me this is the case because of the toe lift on the Spark baseplates and the height of the sliderplates off the board for non-Sparks.
