Picked up a new 166 Mojo from Pallen (he won it at the Mad River Glen Telefest, go figure) and I need to decide:

1. Keep the Mojo and sell off my 2006 Burton 168S,
2. Flip the Mojo to a deserving soul.
3. Keep both.

It's fun comparing the two boards, which are quite similar in some ways:

a. Similar nose, waist, tail widths - Mojo has 1/4 in. more taper
b. Same sidecut length.

Differences:

a. Mojo is stiffer and lighter,
b. Mojo sidecut radius and bindings are set quite a bit further back.

Opinions welcomed.

Keep both and move out of Mass. so you can use them.

Keep both, ride both, expand the quiver. What else are you doing to stimulate the economy? Buy bc gear and equipment, it is the American way.

Rider Steve, do you do any stuff w/ AMC Ski committee? I have bounced around with them a couple of times the last two years, but haven't quite figured out how to integrate splitting with the education they do. Right now they are very much focused on BC XC and Tele. I'm not against that, but I would like to get more AT skiers and boarders involved in trips so that we can make it a more diverse group in terms of style and terrain that they go after.

p.s. I lived in Davis Square till August, and depending on job situation, might be back there in May or June. We should grab a beer at The Burren and plan trips sometime!

Ok I gotta know more about the board being won at Mad River Glen...how the hell did that happen?

Voile donated "Insane" tele skis to N. Atlantic Telemark for the MRG Telefest raffle. I'm guessing they threw in the Mojo splitter as a joke - after all the Burton hype about poaching MRG, they must know the place is skier only.

Keep both. You never know when you are going to need a backup. It pretty nice to be able to show a friend what splitting is all about. Share the love!

I have found plenty of splitboard-friendly terrain in N.E. You just need to do a little research, have a network of friends to show you the stashes, and show the trees some love.
