Well I've gone climbing at Vedauwoo which is in the Medicine Bow range. Not much in the way of mountains there. I think the Snowy Mountain range is nearby and there are definitely tours there. Most of the roads are closed in that area through the winter. There is a tiny little ski area that probably has touring possibilities around it. Your best bet might be to drive two hours south and hit Cameron Pass. Definitely a ton of good stuff there. Maybe some Fort Collins locals will give you more insights as to what is available in Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming.

Hey I'm a Ft Collins local. From my limited experience, I'd agree that the snowy range has more snowboard-friendly terrain, however I'm certainly no expert on the Med-bows. I do snow research in the north park area, between Cameron and several WY mnt ranges. Cameron is always a good time, but occasionally it can be crowded (relatively speaking, for the BC, of course). The snowy range is about as remote as you can get in this part of the country. Beautiful.
