monday was great. once again they only had the jet open which allowed us to get first tracks all over the place all day long. This season is off to a serious start. I might be able to find some pictures from a friend.

Went riding at Jay tuesday... Simply unbelievable! Mid-thighs... Knee deep all over the place... Really light snow... Face shots all day... Blazing through the trees... Everything is open... Wow!
Backcountry is a serious option this w-e... Inbounds should be tracked out. I'm also doing my first try on telemark skis... Always been a skier and a boarder (20 years)... I've been meaning to try it in the past 10 years... but it just never happened... We'll see what goes from there!

I'll be there with all the stuff i need... I don't know if i'll be taking lessons... I have my pass already... don't feel like paying 20$ to be in a large group... Tons of people i normally ride with are on tele gear...
We should all hook shop... Shep will be there too... We're talking about doing a tour somewhere on Sunday...
yeah i'm trying to get my boss to pick up the cost of the clinic, since we sell tele gear at my shop, but we only have one guy who tele's, so hopefully i can get in the clinic.
Not sure that I'll be at the TGR show, not enough denero. But I'll certainly be trekking around for pow stashes come sunday. My roommate got turns down big jay and saw a few other tracks out there. It's in, well at least the big swath is in, if you're into it.

This stupid viral thing I got is killing me. Sorry I missed out on the touring this past weekend... I doubt I'll be able to swing anything before I leave Boston, cause I'm wrapping up my last days of work, but maybe... maybe...

killer weekend behind us, some good inches tonight, and a big nor'easter in the forcast for sunday.
Yep! Again, major snow seems to be coming up for Sun-Mon... A sick day is again already planned!
This w-e i'll be riding the slopes of Jay... There's a meeting at 4h30 in the stateside cafeteria regarding the fence that's being put on the ridge from Jay Peak to Big Jay. After the gash that's been put on the mountain. We'll still be able to access Big Jay but by skinning instead of walking the ridge.
During the holiday, i'll be up there for 2 weeks... So if you want to go for a tour, contact me via E-MAIL.... I won't check this board as i don't have much of an internet connection up there... but still can manage e-mails...

I lurked last years thread and found it very helpful!
On the bright side, a Stowe local just emailed me and said we might be talking about a significant storm over the weekend. I plan to get the split tuned and ready and head up Monday evening for some fun on Tue and Wed.
