Excellent Jim, that must be a darn huge jump if you had to bust out the Sharts.
I need to get up there and follow behind ya...
I hit up Mammoth last weekend...we need to meet up.
PJ?????
Yeah... Shart Shorts (tm) highly recommended:
Mammoth sounds like a great idea! Gotta check out those new trails they keep talkin' about. Let's put a plan together! Heading out to Northstar this weekend... they have really been steppin' it up for their MTB park this year and it's really fun.
Hey, I don't really know you guys but I have been trying to find someone to go to Mammoth with all season. If you are going aroung the weekend of 8/18 then might I join you? I might not be the best rider in the world, but love that Mammoth powder in the summer.

Toad-Not even sure if I'm going to be able to make it but you're definetly welcome.
Blasphemy! You need to make it for Saturday @ least.
I'm planning some rock climbing possibly for Sunday somewhere on the
way home closer to Owens gorge somewhere.
Tahoetoad... JimW will probably be the only person going LARGE. You should roll, everybody I've met from here has been pretty cool.

Santa Cruz:
This guy is saying "why does this place SUCK so bad?!?"
Over Labor Day weekend, headed up to Whistler. I was kind of in denial about how long the drive would take. But at least there were some good views.
Shasta with barely any snow. Weird.
Mt. Rainier with a bunch of RV's.
Sweet glacier in BC on the way to Whistler. Tons of lines out there. Ignore the really phallic-looking cloud.
Whistler was cool as always. We had one day of good weather, then it rained and became a mudfest.
But we rode it anyway. It was surprisingly fun even in the rain. The bikes weren't too happy about it later though.
Back to CA. Toad's evening ride:
Road trip again. This past weekend I checked out Black Rock, in Falls City OR. Amazing freeride area.
I went out there with my friend Erika from Bend, who has become a huck-mistress and has been telling me about this place for a couple years now. She hit this road gap:
