I saw a guy two weekends ago walking past the water reservoir near Kuhtai. He had an old Voile white and blue splitter. Cool - the first split boarder I have seen in the Alps! I got around all different parts over the last few seasons and have always been surprised not seeing anyone splitting.

I was going to yell out to you across the road but didn't want to blurt out "hey dude!" in English. You came down just after us.

Hello man, are you out there reading this? I am down there most weekends, usually with a white Dupraz strapped to my back. Say hello if you see us (one of us speaks good German). I might even split there this weekend in that really strange soft dry powdery cold white stuff that floating down right now by the bucket load (a rare event in these parts).

Hi Jogi, I haven't had a German lesson in 6 weeks and it would take me 30 minutes to work out how to say the above in German, if I could even do it. I really wanted to keep posting on erstspur.de but... writing and reading posts is too tough for me.

(I am leaving Europe soon this year so I gave up on learning German and have become really "language lazy" as a result)

Hi Jogi, I appreciate the encouragement, but posting in English makes me out to be more of an ignorant twit than I already am.

I will get back on there a bit. I'm kind of desperate for touring partners at the moment.

I have two friends interested in Climb The Mtn... but not sure if I can make it. I just want to go touring, I'm not so good at socialising.

... otherwise it's a chance to have a drink with us ... and maybe to make a date for touring ...
