It says "Check out this snowboard made with two skis. You can ski on the skis and carry the center insert in you pack, or ride it as a snowboard. As with most of Fritz's other prototypes he's actually used it. What in the world would one call this thing? A boardskis?"
Looks heavy and useless to me but, hey, you gotta start somewhere.
Well...I guess to each his own...I don't think he was going for a lightweight setup...But it's cool to see people create new things. So many failures before you get a success when it comes to R&D.
I got a splitboard after going so many years with ascension skis so I wouldn't have to carry big bulky stuff on my back. Plus, with a little practice I've learned to ski on the splitboard too!
One of these days I'll have to pull out my old Voile "cloud" that I bought second hand and see how it skis--in comparison to the splitdecision--since the inside edges are shaped more like fat powder skis.
I remember selling a guy one of the early Split Decisions (cloud model). I saw him in the shop a year later, and he had never used it as a snowboard. Said that he just liked having a pair of short, fat skis. He said they worked well in the pow. Now short, fat skis are the norm.

Guys
It took me awhile to find this forum glad i did, well in answer to some of the comments I did not design the Bulldog skis to be in compition with anyone or product I set out a design remit of being able to ski and snowboard using the same gear and to be able to interchange anywhere
As with all dual perpose things there is a compromise so you ae right to a point they are not as good as a normal pair of skis nor a snowboard but they where not designed to be the difference being you can do both.
For those who are not sure about the ride its one of those things you need to try for yoursef all i can say is that the people who have tried them aways get to the bottom with a huge grin on thre face
These badboys where designed for FUN not to compete
