just saw a story about the tioga pass lodge on PBS. looks very sweet. must be nice staying at 9200' after the 11 mile trek in from the road closure. i dont think the pass opened until sometime in june last year.

If it's somewhere within March 12-13th or 20th-22nd I'll be very happy to be there. After that it's back to the Mediterranean

I will have a rented car and can carpool from bishop ca/mammoth lakes, I guess. It'll likely be a compact though.

I thought that was tentative... Perhaps the announcement could be made clearer?

Update: Oh, found it... Perhaps it is wise that that thread be made sticky instead of this one?
