I'm interested in knowing how much the 'state of the art' strap binding setup wieghs. Does anyone with C60's also have a decent scale? I'd like to know how much they weigh mounted on the slider track with the pins attached. Thanks..
I guess medium would be the best benchmark. I'd also like to get the weight for Ride Tomcat's if anyone can do it. Actually, I'm interested in the weights of any bindings out there if anyone has a good scale handy. It seems like those are two of the lightest factory strap bindings out there, though, so those two are the most interesting to me.
I'd like the weight for one binding, mounted on a slider track, with the pin.
FYI, my Medium Burton Missions weigh 1291g (45.45 oz). Also, Will's rad bindings weigh 987g (34.8 oz) and his old Drake F-60's weighed 1211g (42.7 oz).
I think it would be interesting to map out what the different binding setups weight in terms other than 'light,' 'really light,' 'heavy,' etc.

These are last year's C60 (05/06) in size *small* no slider track or pin (I don't have them) - 1.85 lbs = 29.6 oz or = 840 grams.
I've also weighed:
Medium 04/05 Nidecker 800 Pro - 2.75 lbs = 44.0 oz = 1225 grams Small 05/06 Nidecker 800 Pro - 2.55 lbs = 40.8 oz = 1156 grams
All without slider track and pin, can someone post the weight of the the Voile slider/track pin for me?
Oh, give me a day and I should be able to get the weight of a 03/04 Burton P1MD (medium)
Thanks, man! Those Nideckers are real pigs! I'll weigh my slider track and pin tonight. Did your measurements include screws & washers? Probably not t-nuts, though. Thanks again!
This weight includes screws and washers, but not T-nuts.
Yea, the Nideckers are pretty heavy (not as bad as a Catek Freerides though, which was what I was coming from). Aside from the weight, they are awesome binding. They have a foam shock pad (at least 1/4" thick) built into the base that really smooths out vibrations and make any board feel pretty dampened (there a shock plug built into the forward lean mechanism to reduce vibrations coming through the highback as well. The straps are big and beefy with gel insert on the bottom. They weight for solid and super durable... whereas Burton has always gone towards lightweight and "acceptable" breakability.
Thanks for all the info - that's really helpful. I just weighed a bunch of stuff:
Slider Track - 175g - 6.2 oz
Pin - 33g - 1.2 oz
4 T nuts - 10g - .3 oz
Total - 218g - 7.75 oz
I also weighed my Med 05/06 Ride EX bindings, mounted w/ pins at 3 lbs exactly, 48 oz aka. 1364g. Those are kind of pigs too. I got them because I wanted an aluminum binding and I didn't want to spend the $$ for Tomcats. But truthfully, I didn't think they were that heavy!!
The measurements do kind of justify the price for C60s because they seem to be so much lighter than all the other factory strap bindings.
If anyone has Tomcats and a scale, that measurement would be interesting, too.
Here's a recap of binding weights, mounted, with pin:
Nidecker 800 Pro -- M -- 04-- 1444g -- 51.75 oz
Nidecker 800 Pro -- S -- 05 -- 1375g -- 48.55 oz
Ride ex -- M -- 05 --------------- 1364g -- 48.0 oz
