I'm new to the split scene and want to know if anybody can let know what I should be looking for in a soft boot. I have a credit at Solomon due to a defect in my old boots and would like to know which Solomon soft boots will work best. Peace
Oh hell yeah, salomon boots rock! Go the Malamute line- stiff as hell for "soft boot", great control and comfort. They have a heat moldable liner (convection oven) and lace locks to tighten the lower and upper parts of the boot. Great traction on snow too...I've done ALL my backcountry in them and they have held up a long time and never give blisters or sore feet!

I've had a couple generations of them. Got about 70 days out of first pair, at around 25 days so far on second pair. Stiffer than most, and pretty solid.
Some folks have had trouble with the lacing eyelits or what'ev, but those haven't failed me yet.
