All I can say about this last weekend is WOW! The corn harvest is full on here in Wyoming and the Absarokas. I must admit that I have never been on such great spring snow before. It gave me a small taste of what the Sierras must be like. What a great crop indeed.

This trip started out with beautiful weather. Some scenics of the sun setting on the mountains:

Matt eyeing what would be the next day's lines that we would ski:

Someplace, in a knook or a cranny, we would hibernate to a full moon:

The next day brought more great weather and it was time to go harvest some of those lines we saw the night before:

Looking closer at our lines. Matt dropped the line on the right and we dropped in on looker's left (hidden by rocks):

Getting close to topping out...just wait until you see the views!

WoW! Not too shabby up here...From Absarokas to Tetons. Jerrod enjoying the scene.

Wonderful views of the Tetons. There seemed to be an inversion going on in Teton Valley. I waived at Steve Romeo who was skiing someplace on Mt. Moran. I am sure he had great lines and great snow.

Taking a break, soaking up the sun, and marveling at our lines:

Next, we traversed over to this line, skinned up, and Jerrod and I dropped this couloir. It was almost like powder on top and so clean without too many frozen rollerballs or mank.

Matt traversed a bit further and dropped into a line known as Bain Vein:

It was a fantastic weekend, the company was great, the snow superb, and all I can say is Jah was looking down on all of us. I said many thanks to the corn gods!

Thanks BCrider...you would have been beggin' for skis on this day due to some work that had to be done. Truly not splitboard conducive. Sorry for no board riding, but sometimes that is how it goes especially when you are pulling a supa heavy sled.

i like it! great shots thanks for posting them, i espesially like the shots of the wet snow point releases in the area. also you get some major points for the effort in taking sleds and putting up the tp! i wish i could find some riders here in the sierra willing to share slogging in a load like that!

Welcome to Corn Farmers International union #421. All I can do to show my contemp is to say I got two days of surf. Shoulder high, not much bling to it. Way to slay.

Once again, WSR shows us how to do it with classic style. Right on!
