no, it's NUKING. Over an inch an hour for the past couple of hours. Radar shows it being this way for a while longer.

That avy control might not be due to snow, but rain effecting the snow pack. When I came over mt rose hwy this morning it didn't look like it had snowed much at all and it was lightly raining.

Mt.Blows claims 8-10" overnight.

Anyway, a little rain is good for snowpack bonding, right? Yeah, that's the ticket.

Surprisingly good and deep snow in areas protected from the wind yesterday evening near Tamarack. The winds were really howling and swirling, and some slabbiness to watch out for on E and SE aspects. I triggered a small soft slab about a foot deep and was able to ride out of it to the side, but my dog took a ride swimming on top of it.

Hey, I see new snow in the foothills. :shock: I'm guessing 4,000 feet. True???? Damn low for this time of year!!

Looks like the passes won't be able to open till July again.

I had about an inch of slush overnight at my place. I got up to Rose this morning and was happily surprised by +6" of standard sierra cement. Made for some really fun turns.
