Thanks for sharing. Well written. Interesting especially to read about your feelings of helplessness with respect to the first aid, it resonated. Glad you all came out of it ok and I think sharing it is helpful for you and us. Cheers.

Tack for att du dela med dig din upplevelse!

That's a crazy story man. I think you guys really made 90% all the right decisions, including turning around when you did. Some might say that you should have never left the trees, or shouldn't have been out at all, but with bad visibility it can be really hard to tell when you're exposed to danger from above.

Really glad that you guys are ok, and that you still got the fire burning to get out again as soon as possible.

If I ever find myself north of Sundsvall/Are, I'll buy you a 70kr beer no problem! :guinness:

Thanks for the kind words. I´ll gladly take that beer, or if I pass by the OR area I guess I could buy you $4 microbrew, it will probably be way tastier than the $11 Swedish beer anyway :)

No comment on the decision making as I'm not familiar with your snowpack and mountains. But at least you sound like you were using your brain.

I will say however, that for someone without wilderness first aid experience, you did everything very very well. I did a four day course this season, and wouldn't have done much different. Glad you all made it out alright.

I hadn't been to Sweden in 5 years until this last Jultid, and was very pleasantly surprised to see how much the microbrew scene has taken off there! Especially in Skane, it seems like there's lots of breweries down there... not sure about the North tho.

Glad you guys are ok! Come through the PNW sometime and we'll show you awesome mountains and good brews.
