I've searched around a bit, but thought I'd ask here.

Is anyone having issues using these with spark binders? It seems like the wider base of the sparks vs voile plates could cause the baseplate to come in contact with the topsheet.

K2's Ultra Split kit ships with a version of these, although somewhat modified to allow for the channel-style mounting on this board. Haven't had a ton of chance to ride it, but since I ride canted bindings on my resort board, these pucks plus a set of Blazes feel pretty comfortable to me.

What size are your Blazes?

Thanks

Size medium Blazes, 2012 model year I think. I haven't had any issues with hitting the topsheet; at least on the channel-style version these pucks are slightly more built up than the tradition Voile pucks. I'd guess that the inside (lower) side of the pucks is at least a couple millimeters taller than the regular pucks, and the outside (taller) side somewhat more. I guess it's not ideal if you're concerned with stack height, but it seems pretty minimal, and necessary to address FrankH's concern.

Thanks.

I think I'm going to pick up a pair to try out with my size L Afterburners. I'll report back.

Here are pictures that show that it works:

I had to sand / file (< 1/2mm) down my older Voile Slider tracks to get the bindings to slide easily over the new Voile canted pucks.

So I found that both my Blazes and my girlfriend's Voile plates slid way more easily on my canted pucks than on her (almost brand new) flat pucks. Not sure if that's a difference between the channel version and the slotted/parallel disk version, or if just different production runs, or maybe something completely different. Just my experience though.

I would always sand the pucks and not the slider or binding.
Otherwise the binding might have play on other pucks...
