Glad to see things starting to pick up again for you guys. Hopefully February brings the goods. These negative temps suck, but I'll take it over rain and ice storms. My leg recovery is coming along good. Rightsider, I am looking forward to getting in a pool, like you mentioned I heard it helps a lot. Its been a hectic week though as one of my touring partners/friend (skier) lost his house in a fire the other day. He was with me when I broke my leg. Luckily him and his family made it out safely, but everything they owned is gone. Its amazing seeing how awesome the community comes together to help their fellow neighbors in these parts. One good reason I love living in this area.
Wishing you guys some good days such as this day last Feb up near J.
Just did a quick lap up on Timberline at bolton and it was a little disappointing. That slope has been looking really win scoured and it certainly felt it. Under all the new snow it was pretty rough, and some sheets of pure ice. I've actually made better turns up in the Cotton brook area, earlier in the year then I did this afternoon.
Going to go check out Wilderness/might hop into the woods tomorrow for Dawn patrol. I'll report back then. 802smuggler and I are going to be at the base area at 6 if your in.
Also, for those of you looking to explore the Bolton Backcountry. Check out this most recent map, lots of glades that aren't know about in there. Done a few tours and anything on the back side in higher elevation is holding snow decently.

Went for my first tour of season yesterday afternoon. Really nice and deep snow on top, but still super low tide. Around the Mansfield area. Here are couple quick GoPro clips. I could feel every stump, log, and rock under the snow. Super sketch. But, a couple more small storms and we won't have to tip-toe nearly as much.
Got in a few good turns yesterday and it felt really good to start earning again. Bring on more snow!
