Nice work towlie!!!

That's a proud line and you did a great job of taking us along for the ride. Thanks! 8)

Bummer about the road. I guess the bright side is that the reward should be that much richer for those willing to make the extra slog.

DD,
Great pic!

mtnman,
I'm sorry my friends left their pizza crust on the mountain. I'm sure the pooch was stoked though. :)

I'm not trying to make a big deal about some crust, just giving a friendly reminder. I'd be a little pissed if I saw something that won't degrade anytime soon, but I don't think we need to get into that. The dog was definitely stoked on the groundscore and any traces of that pizza are now off the mountain. Not exactly sure what ecobrad meant by the blue cylinder, but if I am on the same page, can anyone figure out how to integrate that into a hydration pack? (I've thought about that for a while.)

Headed out with eric o and gimpy on Sunday to Tallac. We had hoped to find some powder but found wind effected snow instead pretty much every where we looked. Still had a great day nonetheless skiing a classic.

This was my first time back to Tallac since the road closure. The road skinning wasn't too bad and only takes about 15-20 mins but if I had my way I prefer driving to the trailhead.

As previously noted, the whole mountain looked to be a wind scoured mess. We took a peak into the Cross and found some of the powder snow we were looking for. It was still wind effected but at least in was semi soft.

We opted for the easy roll-in entrance over the more difficult Elevator Shaft and direct entrances. For anyone wanting to do this line, *Note – go to the skier's right of the clump of trees, very important.

eric o does the honors and finds the first few turns a little grabby.

Great shots, and some especially good ones of Buddy... Some day I need to get out that way and hit up the cross... Some day... ;)

Spent Sunday at and around Kirkwood, same windjacked snow there with some fun spots as well as some nasty windstripped spots... Makes for some exciting higher speed riding...

Over on the far left of this image you can see where I was on sunday. It was wet spring like snow with some decent turns to be had in the trees. I had to cut my day short because the snow was starting to stick to my skins.

Did you guys dig at all on Sunday (1/15)? Curious what you observed if yiou did any analysis. Pics looked epic. Good to see Eric is alive and well. Peace.
