The only lift running is Sterling and there were no issues with wind today. Well at least while I was there. Should be gusty tomorrow though and probably going to be pretty cold with the wind chill.

Nice work 802!

I got out early Thanksgiving morning for a quick solo skin up Madonna, which was well worth it. Was good to get some exercise before stuffing my face and pounding IPA's .. Did 3 more laps on Friday also.

Thanksgiving am

And a few random stills from Friday.

How's the BC shaping up in Northern VT? Any locales seeing better coverage than others? Coming to visit my brother for the holidays and hoping there's enough coverage to bring the split as well as a few days at Smuggs. We always do Teardrop, would hope to get out to Bolton, the Hump or other places.

For the Stowe/Smuggs vicinity, pay attention to the snow stake. http://www.uvm.edu/skivt-l/?Page=depths.php

I generally start poking around in the BC when it gets to around 40" or so.

We're ultra-low tide right now. Resorts that aren't manmade conglomerates, i.e. Stow and Killington, need some goods. Maybe this weekend we'll start laying down some white. November was superior by N.E. standards, but we're back to typical early December patterns for now (nothing new here). We're going to need several big dumps and sustained cold before we're in the b-day bowls or hiking tear drop. I think it's going to be tough to be in the woods by Christmas. 48" at the stake by old-timer standards: Maybe you can get by with a little less, but I personally don't feel comfortable off-piste till we're damn close to that. Hiking closed resort hills can be good with a lot less, but there are so many more obstacles in the forest.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll get weather updates, but I'll count on bringing the solid then. Picked up some discount Smuggs tix online regardless.

^^^ lol.. both those chicks are really good riders.

Really hope we pull at least a foot out of this next storm in the mountains. The little bits of snow here and there have been adding up in the mean time.

Found some left overs after work today...
