Curious as to what people are using for POV poles? I have found a few good options but wanted to what people thought. Just received a GoPro as an early Christmas present. MY main must is extend to a decent length to get overhead photos. Also having it be able to rotate on the head would be good too. Thanks.

I use a super clamp with a GoPro tripod head. Look around ebay for a "camera super clamp." The two are linked via a short chunk of 1/4 x 20 all-thread and a keeper nut plus some blue loktite. The camera can be rotated relative to the clamp, and camera can of course be pivoted forward and rearward, so you can get this thing to look in pretty much any direction. I clamp it on my ski pole near the basket. I did have to make my pole a little fatter via a chunk of radiator hose and some black tape to give the clamp something meaty to grab. Works awesome.
Here are a few sample shots:
A little photoshopping will even remove the pole:

I've made them out of tripod legs that I got at the thrift store. Or you can just use their bar mount on the second section of your trekking pole. I had to widen the circumference of the pole with some electrical tape.
