Hi guys,

For those of you who have the Voile Light Rail bindings, here is what happened to mine earlier this week:

I used them about 80-100 days. I would have expected them to last longer.

It seems that Voile corrected this problem last year:

The very first light rail had no brass bushes.
THEN THEY RELEASED THE SECOND VERSION IN ORANGE WITH A BUSH.
I had the same issue with the very first batch, Voile sent us out a heap of replacement orange sections and all good!
The latest version has a beefed up section as shown in you photo.
I have had none come back since they put the bush in.

Call Voile they will help you out for sure.

Cheers

I had the same problem with the 2011 version without bushes.
It didn't break completely but due to the friction of the pin the hole got wider and there was too much lateral movement when skinning.
Voile sent me replacement rails right away (the blue ones), so it's just unscrewing the old rails and replacing for the new ones.

Here are photos of the first and second versions of the light rail
You can see 1 had bushes the other doesn't.

They should be able to send you the new ones with bushes.
Make sure you get the orange ones or you will have to change the touring brakets.

Cheers

+1 on voile's fantastic customer service, I snapped some ratchets on my 2011 light rails and they shipped me a new set within the week. AND gave me some free stickers! (cause i asked nicely!)

Just curious, are the bushings replaceable on these new ones? Is this a result of the steel pin wearing the aluminum (similar to the situation if using the aluminum pin on Sparks with the steel Voile touring bracket instead of the Sparks LT bracket?

This is the model that didn't have the bushings. Yes the steel pin has wear the aluminum over time.

They are sending me new rails! Fantastic customer service.
