I've been on a Prior AMF 159 for a few seasons and can't consider ever going back to a traditional, set-back board. I'm a fan of the twin tip which offers me more mobility in tight trees, and feel the centered stance offers more balance and control on varied terrain.

That being said, I've heard a lot about the Lupin Splitboard. Although it's noted to be directed for female splitters, a lot of ladies and gents are riding the solid and split versions. It's more flexy than the AMF, has a smaller waist, and blunted tip and tail.

I ride a 155 in the resort. A 159 in the backcountry. The Lupin only goes up to a 156. The AMF is a bit too wide for me at times. But I'm a little fearful that the combination of the shorter length with slimmer waist will add more struggle than mobility on deep days.

Does anyone have any experience on the Lupin? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

I don't have any experience myself but definitely had the brandywine and lupin on my hit list when a went split-shopping.

Would love to hear some first hand experiences as demos dont exist down here...
