Hi there, would really love to do a season in the Tirol region but unfortunately i'm struggling to find anywhere to call home for the season. Does anyone out there know of anyone looking to rent out a place to 2 experienced back country split boarders. Any help would be gratefully appreciated, thanks for your time.

With my inside knowledge of the "goings on there"....I'd stay away from backyardaustria

Feel free to PM me if you like...I have a friend in Mayerhofen that can get you some ideas.

There are plenty of long-term possibilities in Tirol. Backyard Austria is a cool location, but it is more like a hostel and not really aiming at long term stays. Genereally it is advisable to seek local contacts who can advise you on where to crash. Ski instructors usually have good contacts and can help you with that. If you need some help you can write us and we will try and help you out.

Also you should maybe considering using Innsbruck as a hub if you plan to do a season in Tirol, as it is very central and will make it easy to visit various resorts, mountains and regions. Hope you guys had a good time in Tirol!
