So do you mean within a company or across companies?
Across the splitboard companies, meaning across the splitboard industry.
For example: I consider MAGNE-TRACTION more of marketing differentiation and product position, than something that is truly innovative in the splitboard industry. Note: I am not saying whether or not MAGNE-TRACTION works. I never riddien a board with MAGNE-TRACTION. I just did not consider it as something I got have splitboard-innovation. Innovations for me are 2nd generation Phantom bindings, Tesla bindings, Slider Tracks and Canted Voile Pucks (should be out soon).
MELLOW MAGNE-TRACTION Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Magne-Traction improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. The Flagship, Mountain Twin, and the Solution all feature a refined Magne-Traction design where the bumps are biggest between your bindings for maximum edge control and smaller outside your feet allowing you to feather your turns without catching an edge.
In traditional snowboards, your energy when making a turn is pushed outwards towards your tip and tail. The harder you drive into the turn the more force is exerted onto the flex of the board, eventually causing you to wash out. Magne Traction technology fixes this dilemma by introducing 7 contact points along the entire effective edge most notably underfoot and between your bindings. These points disburse your weight evenly along the entire edge and transfer energy directly underfoot. The result is a powerful, stable ride with unmatched edge grip in any condition.
