I found some discussion on the boots forum regarding compression socks (mainly against using them); however, I need to use them for high impact sports. Any suggestions on a good pair or two to ride with both inbounds and to splitboard with? Anybody tried a sleeve plus a regular snowboard sock?

Here are some I'm considering (not cheap):

Lighter socks:

Heavier warmer:

Here is a mixed review on the CEP compression socks I am interested in.

http://blistergearreview.com/gear-revie ... sion-socks

I've got the start of vein problems in my right calf due to a leg clot a few years back so actually compression by the socks could help my circulation more than harm it. Interesting how the reviewer says the socks helped with blisters. That might be of an advantage for the long splitting in the backcountry. Though I wonder if compression socks make you sweat more or hold the sweat more. The CEP socks I am looking at claim to breath. Then again my regular Burton socks are breathable but can get sweaty.
