Tortoise and myself met up around 10am on saturday morning to get some turns in. The snow was amazing. Some sun crust was developing towards the end of the day but as long as you stayed in the shade it was money, knee deep and still pretty fluffy. We ended up doing 2 laps, roughly 2k feet descent total. Tortoise, thanks again for the burrito.
I didn't get any action shots because my camera is too big/expensive to be taking out with me, I need to get a cheapo one.

hell yes, the conditions were top notch. deep pow, blue skies, stable snowpack. what a day to be in the backcountry. that was so much better than waiting in line for sloppy seconds at a ski resort. if i had any doubt before, i'm now completely sold--splitting is the light and the way.
btw, did you get out there again today?? how was it?
