Hey Guys,

You guys probably already know to be careful leaving stuff in your cars at Mt Hood. We got our car broken into at Bennett Pass snopark on Saturday. We really didn't do anything different than the countless other times we parked in the area. Bags were visible in the back of the car. Don't want some meth head from Welches running off with your stuff.

ATTN OREGON SPLITFEST ATTENDIES: if anyone has any extra mounting hardware, old skins, or plates, please bring them up to Chris and I so we can make sure we have enough boards for everyone! On top of the Venture demos, we will have boards from Rome, Rossignol, and Roxy, but they didn't send any hardware or skins. :banghead: So anything that you guys can round out up would be greatly appreciated! Super excited for this weekend, its going to be sick!

Portlandia!

I'm flying in on Saturday afternoon. Should I bring my gear? The only day I have to tour is Sunday and it looks like it could be good? Anybody going out? Pick me up in SE Portland? I'll buy gas and beer!

If no touring then it'll be an evening of Cascade Barrel House, Sizzle Pie, the Goodfoot, and a hangover on Sunday.

I was just up there today. It starting to melt out in the sun expose areas. If you want powder, stay in really shaded areas.

just did a there and back traverse on hood's north side that is destined to become a classic!

from tilly jane trailhead up to snowdome, down langille bowls to barrett spur, up and down barret spur, back up langille bowls to snowdome, down eliot glacier to tilly jane.

9,500 vertical feet of ascent
9,500 feet of descent
16 miles, 8 up and 8 down
3 transitions
2 glaciers
1st run 3,000 vert low angle soul turns to a steep access gully
2nd run 1,500 vert of extreme steep terrain on barrett spur
3rd run 5,000 vert from snowdome to tilly jane trailhead
12 hours total time.

so sick and perfect for splitboarders
TR to come
