So this past weekend turned out to be outstanding, stellar, killer, gnarly, enter your favorite adjective, whatever it may be, it was all of that and then some. Chris (BCRIDER) dude, come on, seriously, this could not have been a better gtg. We all reached for the Skylar (southpark) I feel like. I wish it was possible for all of us to get out and bro down on the regular. Of course the raffle was killer as usual, with plenty of goodies, presented like the inner childhood Christmas we all dreamed about having. Thank you Clair Tappaan, for being such an awesome comrade in your days in the mountains. Your positive vibrations shook each and everyone of us like the North Shore volcanoes we all shredded. Thanks Big Mountain Legends, Bonnie and Jim Zellers, The God Father Jeremy Jones and Ryland Bell (congrats on your wildcard win cuz you didn't even think you were going to be able to ride, hahaha), for touring, laughing, shredding and spending the day with us. Thanks to the spirits of Tahoe National Forest, for keeping the temps chillin, the blue birds singing, the freshies dropping, and the night winds blowing, loading up our favorite faces, allowing those of us were "JONES'N" for some face shots to find some blower. Good times were had by all it's safe to say. Thanks for all the new and old friends we met and shared such a timeless killer experience with. I can't wait to get out with all of you again. It's almost March, Tahoe's notorious dream month. Let's dance the dance of pow, and hope it doesn't ever stop. Thank's again everyone for creating an event we won't soon forget.
With that, it was such an awesome time , that I only snapped off a few pics and recorded only one vid on Jakes the day before. So this is what I got. Feel free to add on, and let's keep this fire stoked.
JJ methodically dissecting, and enjoying some solitude.
Chris Gallardo (BCR) and Jer Bear skinning up for Nirvana.
Carnage.
Jones dropping.
Tranny time. Pop'n some bubbly, and tasting the best whisky ever.
Skin to win in, or to allude the Donner Cannibals.
The open Heaven's.
Zellers and Hound lead the assault.
"Who do we sacrifice first? It's not the Donner Party without man flesh."
The North East Bowl looks pretty good, as does.....
The North Face of Dick's. Jake's was killer an all aspects as well.
Blower.....
Thank's again to everyone for getting out, and making this event happen. It wouldn't be possible without all of us, and of course father winter.

Did Tex get a new camera?
Sad I missed the fun. I had a buddy in from out of town so we were down the shore on the Souph Side over the weekend. Looks like you guys had a killer time!

Thanks for the great pictures Tex! What a great weekend! Good vibes and fun riding all around! I love Tahoe, it's a nice change from the loong all day epics on the Eastside.
Here are some of mine. I only carry a point & shoot, so they can't quite compete.
Friday we went up to the Sierra Buttes with a big group.
Some nice terrain up there:
JBay skinning up on a typical sunny Sierra approach
Getting to the goods
First little chute we rode was windbuff with some icy spots, a little tricky. JimW on his Spliff.
And back up we went to look for something better.
Tex coming down
The next day the whole splitparty went up to Donner Peak.
Jbay in front of Jeremy Jones and the Zellers plus Splitparty peeps
JimW navigating some terrain
Da Man looking like a super trooper with his camera pack
Without this man, I wouldn't know anybody over here in the states! Thank you Tex for having me at the 2008 Eastside Splitparty
Jimw coming down from Donner, after the whole Splitparty came down here that run looked like a resort
Sunday was travelling home day, so we took it easy and accessed Mt. Judah throught the Sugar Bowl resort to play around on the backside. The only other girl (other than Natalie) at the Splitparty was Julie and for some reason she choose to come with us old farts! Riding since her teens she was very solid in the backcountry and a welcome change to our usual sausage fests!
Unfortunately the wind was howling and windhammered the snow on the ridge, but we still found some fun pockets to play around in.
Jbay coming down, that place was tracked out pretty good so we moved one over after that!
JimDub, right before
and right after. Dammit!
Jbay dropping the cornice. Also not quite right, the shortcomings of Point & Shoot.
"Jim how does the Spliff handle the windbuff?" "Surprisingly good actually!"
Everybody was all smiles after a couple laps and we headed out.
I did my 8.5 hr slog home to the OC, riding on the high of the weekend.
Good times! Thanks again to BCRider for a great event!
