Backcountry Skiers Against Splitboards

I like how they say Splitboards don't belong in the backcountry, but then they support the Snowboard Bans at Alta, MRG, and Deer Valley. Just a plain old we hate snowboarding page.

"Backcountry Skiers Against Splitboards educates backcountry skiers and snowboarders regarding the dangers associated with splitboard transition deficiencies when performing companion rescues for partners caught in an avalanche."

What does this even mean?? This has to be a joke. But hey they have 7 people liking it so far

thats pretty funny....
i'd think that if theyre so concerned about the time it would take for a split partner to dig their asses out of a slide, they might focus more on hazard evaluation, terrain selection, airbag use.... or moving to a coastal snowpack
i guess it is always a slowboarders fault if they get caught in an avalanche, ya gotta point fingers somewhere

I feel bad for that person...If you're that big of a waste of chode skin to create that page, and doctor up a bumper sticker. Their mother obviously beat them for being the "slow child". Either that or a splitboarder gave them a good rough shag one night, and never called them back

That person probably still bathes with GI Joe action figures to help them find where the "big brown" shark came from. (if you don't know that iconic comic reference...I'm showing my age)

Nice fan club page... They are a little confused, and I'm a bit amused, so we are even... ;)

If the transition time of the snowboarder that they are relying on to save their bacon in an avalanche is their biggest (and apparently only) argument against splitters, they have bigger issues to deal with.

I assume they're referring to instances where a partner would get caught while another partner was in ski mode, who might then be a little slower to initiate a rescue.

Luckily, I have a guaranteed win-win solution for any skier who doesn't like how fast I can hustle to the rescue. Stay the fuck out of my crew.

Still healing the PTSD wounds from the first skier war. Can't go through this shit again.

Ok, just realize, she doesn't make it very clear but she is talking about intermediate riders who are having trouble progressing to the next level. Just so folks panties don't get too wadded up. Still condescending though. Apparently written by her bad alter ego.

Too late! My mohawk is already cut and I am now welding steel-toes onto my snowboard boots! Gotta still find my baggy-ass DCJ pants (Denver County Jail).

Hilarious! :bananas:

But what's the point again? I'm slower digging you out than a skier, really? Wanna try?

I think this is just another attempt to get me to switch to hardboots, somehow..
