February in Utah was pretty fun. I don't think it would be considered great in terms of snow, but exploring a new zone and getting to ride lines you've been schemin' on is what it's all about for me. Im still new to snow stability so it was a great experience to deal with presistent weak layers in the snowpack. Although these layers were seemingly abundant in the Wasatch in February, some small snow storms not putting to much weight on these layers allowed one to get into some steeper terrain. Thanks dude! Yup, if I remember correctly I was talking to you about your verts. How do you like those things?

Yeah, must have been. They're good. It's a little tricky for me figuring out when to bring em so they only have a few days on them, but they work pretty well in the right conditions. If you're knocking off the chuting gallery as it seems, they could be worth it. You're welcome to borrow them for a tour or two.

Same here, had them with me for a two week trip, either a) had them with me and skins were better all the way, or b) left the behind and kicked myself. They became a point of piss taking for the others, the pointless plates of plastic. Until one day when the stars aligned, and they were c) perfect for what we had to do. Narrow couloir, concave, one side good, the other sun affected porridge. Not enough room to switchback, really only 2 yards wide of decent snow and too deep for bootpack. I ruled on the spark verts!

Still tricky to work out in advance whether it's an a), b) or c) day though!
