I've never posted to this thread before, but am stoked to see it going on! I'm in Rye, NH and looking to ride with folks. Been knuckle-dragging since 1986 and splitting for 3 years...mostly "easy access" stuff...Sherbie/Tucks, Doublehead, Cog. Did Hale a couple weeks ago and though conditions were good, it was my first time out this year and got spanked due not having the legs.
I took an avvy course 15 years ago and don't have the gear or expertise to do anything requiring ropes, harnesses, or ice axes, but in general would like to ride with folks who are self-sufficient and have good heads on their shoulders...i.e. willing to "call it" if its sketchy...then go have a beer rather than being stupid and getting wreaked.
Drop me a line if you are looking for a 2nd or 3rd.
Cheers! Jeff

Matt, things are lookin alright up there. keeping in mind there were two slides last week, one of them being fatal. Cog railway would be a great low angle tour option, or tucks if youre on this side of the mtn. i couldnt advocate going up past little headwall though, as i have not done that myself yet this year.

Anyone up for a day tour next weekend? Mar 23 or 24th?
Preferably around Mt. Washington since Ill be spending the night in Thornton.
I don't know the area well, so I'd be looking to hook up with someone who is familiar. I have toured a few times in VT this year, and just recently last week in Colorado, so I'm up to par physically, just want someone to tour with. I have avy knowledge from the Pacific Northwest, and all of the gear.

Hey dfox i'd be interested in jumping in with you guys if you have room. Been riding a bunch this winter but only got a handful of days on the the split. Feel like that needs to change especially with the snow rolling through right now. I'll shoot you a PM and see if we can figure something out.
