I have a Violé swallowtail split which obviously comes with their hardware. When I installed my Karakoram bindings into it I found that it was hard to get the board back together and very hard to get the bindings to lock down, and the locking pin on the bindings forces the board halves apart so that there is a broad gap. Has anyone else had troubles?
yes, same issues have been discussed in prior threads.
cliff notes:
- You can't use the hooks and Kram in most cases because the required board lock is to slide both ways at once, which is physically impossible. - You can loosen the hooks to allow the board to line up using the kram binders, but you get an incredibly annoying chatter and the board isn't solid as it's supposed to be. - If you have the money for the binders get the spare set of clips for kram.
If you need more info you can search and browse the few threads on the issue. gl-
