I've been poking around for a couple of years now, heading out to various cabins around the area and just really haven't put my finger on one that was the best for splitting. The Hantavirus Hotel is great, but it only sleeps two and that is a bummer. Mystic is another fantastic cabin, but the riding around there isn't that good.
I am trying to plan a little two or three day outing over the Christmas right now and am kind of coming up blank. SO. Any direction would be greatly appreciated, in or around SW Montana.

not sure which one is the hantavirus hotel.. all of them? ive stayed at battle ridge, fox creek, and storm castle. then some hyalite ones that are easy access to blackmore, etc.
ive always wanted to go to yellow mule. but i wouldnt recommend that for a christmas get away (or at all, really). never made it out there. i think spanish creek or mill creek would be good touring options

I would say the beaver creek cabin near Hebgen. The NW face of boat mountain looks awesome and is right out the back door and Hilgard peak is a few miles SW.

Not a forest service cabin, but I did my avi 1 at the Yurtski yurt in the southern swans last week. Didn't get to ride a lot of the terrain because we were busy with the course, but what we did ride and what we saw was awesome. Plenty of treed lines, wide open bowls, and chutes nearby. Lots of terrain. You'd want to sled in. I would definitely recommend it. There is great coverage and pretty stable conditions right now too.

I've always wanted to to a trip into Black Butte Cabin in the Gravely Range (SW of Ennis). You'd be sharing it with a lot of sled necks but there are some sick bowl all over the place.

Ok. Seriously. A PM with the actual name (and maybe the approximate location) of the 'no-tell motel' would be truly appreciated! I've heard rumblings of this place for years now, but evidently have not been hanging out with the right crew. The secret shall remain safe with me and mine. (Offerings to Ullr could be made if need be.)
