I was super honored and lucky to have Kory from Spark come to "The BackYard" Austria in Zillertal. He had some pairs of the new Sparks for "product testing".





I can tell you....they are FREEEEEKIN SOOOOOOOO AWESOME! So quick and efficient and the heel lifts are slick as sh!t!!

Will has outdone himself this time with this design.

Don't get me started about that VW behind us, screwing my last good day for a big line. Nothing like being up at 4am, and having that pos VW over heat 60 times.

Okay...enough distraction...back to the binders.

Yeah enough of that shit... How are the binders? do the channels build up with snow/ice? what about the toe ramp/closure system? are the lifters easy to engage? stiffness of the plate and straps ?

I'm still on Fuses and they are still working fine but....

zude...I've had the Fuses for almost 5 years as well. The pinless system is soooo slick and sooooo fast.

I can tell you the comfort feeling of the binding is more than I expected. No pulling up trying to engage the heel lifts. It's all about the basket....It's a relief to simply push down on a super wide heel lift vs. hooking and p ulling up on the Voile lift.

One quick lift on the toe ramp and it's off to split/shred mode.

I consider myself pretty tough on my gear. I'm 6' 195 of piss and vineagar Polack, and the Burner's I tested get 2 thumbs 6 dooobies and a 750ml of Yamazaki single malt Fooook Yeah in my book.

You could try to disagree, but I'll just slap you...take your wallet...buy weed with your money....roll a fat doobie and get your cat stoned.

Pin free splitting sounds pretty awesome to me. I've pooh poohed the Burton split line for a while, but I may have to reconsider...

I am missing something? Seems this system will work with any board and puck no?

The ability to change your stance that easily is nice with the slider slot Burton thingy, but hardly enough to make me change to Burton splits.

Looking at the pics on the Instagram feed, it looks like you will NOT be able to adjust the Afterburner model on the board, because it doesn't appear to have any slots in the baseplate like the Magneto does (would be happy to be corrected if this is not in fact the case). This is similar to the difference between the current Blaze and Burner models. The Burner has a more solid base for more stiffness. Just seems that maybe could have gotten away with some slots for the screw adjustment only and still have a stiff baseplate, but maybe not. I prefer a stiff binding so definitely would have gone for the Afterburners, but not being able adjust with the binding on the board takes away one of the big advantages. Seems like a Magneto baseplate/Afterburner strap/highback combo might be a nice option as well.
