Heading out to Denver tonight for the SIA trade show. I'll be taking pics of next year's gear from all the usual suspects but let me know if there's some specific stuff you want me to take pics of or get info on.

detailed pics (video??) of the Arc'teryx avy pack if there's a proto floating around there.
detailed pics of any new binding systems
innovative bc tools: brooks range stuff, K2 backside stuff - items that serve double duty in a smart way. not probes inside shovel shafts but saws, rescue-sled rigging capabilities, stuff like the very compact 300cm K2 probes. i would be interested in any companies bringing ideas like these to the table.
the supposed 3-piece carbon whippet that we all hope is coming.

I'd for sure like to see a video of the Spark R&D Magneto binding system in action. I'm sure everyone wants to see that. Also get details on why Edison was apparently abandoned.
If you can go by our SCOTT Sports booth (2939) and check out the new packs and outerwear. We have an airbag system and awesome compartments for BC tools, etc... If you ask for Graham Sours he'll show you that and the Life-Link stuff.

Video clips. A lot of the moving or mechanical parts of the new gear out there (mostly thinking of bindings here) just don't translate well in stills. The Edison vid from last year is a good example. The system made little sense until we got to see it in moving-action. Get multiple angles of the good bits as you twirl, ratchet, twist, lock, engage, flip, slide, stick, and adjust. TIA

Last years report was pretty cool already and you covered it very well, you mentioned you already had some ideas to make it better next time! So looking forward to that!
I'd be interested in any type of new innovations coming from the mountaineering brands: Mammut, Black Diamond etc.
Thanks Chris

K2 shovel/ice axe thing could be cool. Karakoram looks like they have some new insanely light ribbon-style toestrap? the pictures of them aren't clear or up close... Jones coming with an R.A.S. pack. Light Rails look super light.

Larger (45L+) multi-day packs with winter specific options (big buy options, adjustable yoke). Mystery Ranch brand in particular. Hut to hut and snow camping accessories.

FYI The new Karakorams come with the straps from NOW bindings. I don't know anything about any ribbon type straps, but maybe on their ultra light models.
They are really nice. And yes, Jones is coming out with a split-specific RAS pack. Pics of this would be nice.
