Just got back from a looooong afternoon at Angora Peak.

I went with a group of 6 friends, 2 of us were on splits, the others were on skis.

Four people skied/rode the NE slopes of Angora Peak, on about 4-6 inches of soft snow.

3 of us rode the line skier's right of Fallen Angel. Not sure what it's called, but it was fun.

First turns at the top:

Snow conditions ranged from soft, loose snow to wind slabs. The variability in the snow added some complexity to the riding. We saw no signs of instability, other than sluffs and a few small wind slabs breaking off at our boards.

About half way down the slope was split by a rock rib. We decided one of us would go left, the other two went to the right.
Going left connected all the way. Going right led us to a jumble of rocks we had do downclimb through. Going left would have been the better choice. A few more feet of snow may make the right option go through.

Below the rocks, which is also where the two options converge, things get narrower, but not narrow. probably 10-12 feet wide. Where the slope narrowed, it also became less steep. Pretty easy exit, and the snow below was super-fun.

We contoured toward Fallen Leaf Lake, and I was able to stay in snowboard mode all the way. Once we got to the lake and road, we slid along the road, back to our car. All in all, a great day!
