Touring Ghost Towns and Lost Ski Resort this winter

I'm doing a series out of Colorado this winter on snowboarding in and around Ghost Towns and Lost Ski Resorts. Here is the first edit I put together over the holiday week. The rest of them will be more of a documentary style, but this one was a fun start to the project.

Very nice! Ever since I read Powder Ghost Towns I've been obsessed with the idea of riding some of these old areas... Actually going to try and hit some in Southern CO this season.

Cool idea and well done. i like the creative edit. Also my home mountains.

Check out the town of Fulford between Eagle and Basalt ( Sawatch) if you get a chance. There is a lot of good riding in that area and full of history.

Nice vid. Maybe some Cuchara footy in there? I have done a few out of the book. Hidden Valley, Geneva, St Marys, Allenspark, Apex, Peak One, Stoner. Good stuff on high danger days, though some are pretty thick trees nowadays. There are a lot more than I would have guessed.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'll have to stay in touch with some of you colorado guys...I need people to film and make a story.

and yes....it is a very difficult season to do this. so sketch out there....it will probably be a two year/on going project.

how much of the riding was at redstone?

were shots at 1:47, 2:10 and 2:30 taken elsewhere or is there some extra credit in that area?

looking at a satellite image it looks like tons of fun terrain around the town...
