I'd have to say Spokane, WA..... it has a bit of a dicey side, but there is BC, ID, and PNW right in your roundhouse.

Yup, what he said. One week in Pemberton, BC last year in February we did way crazier stuff then we could all year in the San Juans last year. Fricken crappy snowpacks...

Holy hell, I learned to ski at the 'Gaw back in the oh..um...late 70's. 10 miles from the house I grew up in, $5 tix with a county id card and night riding meant plenty of midweek skiing after school. Sure it sucked and a kicker at the top meant landing at the bottom, but I have a ton of great memories from that place.

quint small town on the biggest lake in the region with the best BC access & ski area terrain out of the 5 local resorts in your back yard with "anything you want shopping 45 min away, and surronded by fishing hunting biking hiking sledding boating etc...

SLC is big but it has been pretty damn good to me aswell.
