Seems a bit too heavy to me actually, considering that my board is larger?
I think the Prior XTC carbon construction is just really, really lightweight, because my Lib Tech TRS with the exact same hardwear is heavier too and its' a 164. I'm always a bit surprised most manufacturers don't specify weight of snowboards on their website. They brag about lightweigh construction and materials all the time, why not back it up with some actual weights?

It is light, however my statement above referred to my Venture Zephyr 169.

I fully agree, this really sucks! Big bonus for Prior, for naming weights.
However... talking about claimed weights: Prior Spearhead XTC 178 according to manufacturer: 3440g Real weight: 3713g

I`ve got a Prior BC XTC and a Prior BC Standard. I don`t know the exact weights, the XTC feels a bit lighter but the surface shrinks easier than the one of the standard. I prefer the standard board. For me it`s important that the board is reliable, stable and stiff, some gramms more or less are not important at all. We all carry lots of things with us (cameras, clothes, poles, helmet, drinks etc.), if one wants to "weightwatch" the consequence is to switch to skies (but not freeride). The better way for me is to optimize one`s fitness and the technique of ascending, but everyone has to decide for him/herself.

I weighed my Chimera Sceptre in TOUR mode, skins installed ready for the uphill. I'm using Spark R&D Blaze bindings and Spark (G3) Skins, have alloy hinge pins and dual heel risers.
My set-up in tour mode weighs 6lbs 12oz per ski
x2= 13lbs 8oz for complete.
My complete board in RIDE mode weighs in at 12lbs on the dot.
I'm assuming because Idarado started the thread that he wants to see what how our splits compare to the MTNApproach system which is 4.5lbs per ski.
I weighed my solid board for comparison, Burton Malolo with EST bindings. 11lbs 11oz. That was pretty re-assuring to know my split is only 5oz heavier in RIDE mode.
Don't think anyone here has mentioned mtn approach skis. I think the point is to get an idea of the weight of different setups as manufacturers aren't always transparent on weight.
